Arthur Ashley was born on October 6, 1886 in New York City, New York, USA. He was an actor and director, known for The Beautiful Mrs. Reynolds (1918), Tangled Fates (1916) and The Struggle (1916). He was married to Bertha Weisz and Helen C. Schweickert. He died on December 28, 1970 in East Islip, Long Island, New York, USA.

Tall, brown-haired leading actor of the silent screen, with Vitagraph, Metro, World Film and Thanhouser. Her performed most of his own stunts. Contemporary sources described him as something of a daredevil. He broke several national records with his No.14 racing car and also piloted dirigibles.
