He was an actor and producer, known for The Year of the Dragon (1981), Manchzhurskiy variant (1989) and Chokan Valikhanov (1985). He was married to Bagdat Ashimova, Mayra Aymanova, Marzhan and Kulbanu. He died on December 21, 2025 in Kazakhstan.
