Ron Asheton was born on July 17, 1948 in Washington, District of Columbia, USA. He was an actor, known for Smokin' Aces (2006), Predestination (2014) and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998). He died on January 6, 2009 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA.

Brother of Stooges' drummer Scott Asheton.

Former guitarist and bassist for 'the Stooges'.

New York-based alternative rock band Sonic Youth dedicated their 16th album, "The Eternal", to him.
