Scottio Arnold was born in New Haven, Connecticut. He is an actor, stunt performer, martial artist, and producer who has worked professionally in the entertainment industry since 1994. Trained in Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido, Scottio has also taught martial arts to numerous high-profile Hollywood actors and producers.
While teaching martial arts in Los Angeles under the supervision of renowned martial arts master and film actor Phillip Rhee (Best of the Best), Scottio was recognized for his skill and discipline. Rhee introduced him to his brother, Simon Rhee, which led to Scottio’s first professional stunt job on the HBO film TNT, starring Randy Travis and Eric Roberts.
In 2000, Scottio was hired to double actor Eric King for a car-crash stunt on the CBS drama series The District, starring Craig T. Nelson. His work made a strong impression, and at the start of the show’s second season he was invited to audition for the casting department. Scottio subsequently booked the recurring role of "Officer Scotty," appearing in multiple episodes and regularly performing scenes alongside the main cast. Executive producer and showrunner Pam Veasey recognized his acting potential and continued to expand the character across four seasons.
Scottio’s stunt career later brought him back to New York, where he appeared on several major network and streaming series, including Blue Bloods, Gotham, The Blacklist, and Luke Cage. His film credits include Bottom of the Ninth and The King of Staten Island.
