- Peter Arnett was born on November 13, 1934 in Riverton, New Zealand. He was a writer and producer, known for 15 Minutes (2001), CNN Special Reports (1980) and Bunch of Five (1992). He was married to Nina Nguyen Thu-Nga. He died on December 17, 2025 in Newport Beach, California, USA.

- As he made critical remarks regarding the U.S. invasion in Iraq, his employers NBC, MSNBC and National Geographic all severed their relationships with him, although they initially had defended his opinion (31 March 2003).
