Biography

Joey Arias was born on October 3, 1949 in Fayetteville, North Carolina, USA. He is an actor and writer, known for To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar (1995), Elvira: Mistress of the Dark (1988) and Flawless (1999).

After arriving in New York in 1976 to become a "chanteuse", became part of Andy Warhol's circle.

Was close friends with Klaus Nomi.

Living in Los Angeles, California after touring the United States in Broadway musicals. Joseph has been seen on stage in many Sondheim and Webber roles. He sang in Evita with Darin Altay, Man of La Mancha with Ron Raines, and Pacific Overtures starring Mako. He is teaching voice and acting in films and theatre internationally.
