- Australian character actor, usually typecast as archetypal Aussie larrikins. Best known for his roles as Snowy in Gallipoli and Dicko Baker in Razorback.
- Has also worked as a comedian, writer and ice skater (his parents were both ice skaters).
- Trained at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA).
- Often considered difficult to deal with, he was fired from the sets of Phar Lap, Fortunate Life and Great Expectations.
