Biography

David Argue was born on December 26, 1959 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He was an actor and writer, known for Gallipoli (1981), BMX Bandits (1983) and Road Train (2010). He died on July 30, 2025 in Australia.

Australian character actor, usually typecast as archetypal Aussie larrikins. Best known for his roles as Snowy in Gallipoli and Dicko Baker in Razorback.

Has also worked as a comedian, writer and ice skater (his parents were both ice skaters).

Trained at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA).

Often considered difficult to deal with, he was fired from the sets of Phar Lap, Fortunate Life and Great Expectations.
