Salvatore Argento was born in 1914 in Rome, Lazio, Italy. He was a producer, known for The Bird with the Crystal Plumage (1970), Tenebrae (1982) and Deep Red (1975). He died on April 19, 1987 in Rome, Lazio, Italy.

Father of Dario Argento and Claudio Argento. Grandfather of Asia Argento and Fiore Argento (Dario's daughters). Greatgrandfather of Anna Lou Castoldi and Nicola Giovanni Civetta (Asia's children).
