Chico Anysio was born on 12 April 1931 in Maranguape, Ceará, Brazil. He was an actor and writer, known for The Time and Turn of Augusto Matraga (2011), Up (2009) and Tieta of Agreste (1996). He was married to Malga di Paula, Zélia Cardoso de Mello, Alcione Mazzeo, Nancy Wanderley, Rose Rondelli and Regina Chaves. He died on 23 March 2012 in Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
