Biography

Mark started his film career in 1995 when he invested in his first feature film 'Mainline Run'. Three years later he became a full time producer, co-writing and producing the feature film 'Distant Shadow' which made more than 4 times its budget.

Since then, mark has consulted for numerous film funds and production companies in the UK and USA and structured several film funds himself, including 'Studio Finance.'

Mark has produced, executive produced and acted as EIC on such films as 'Wake of death' starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, 'Modigliani' starring Andy Garcia 'School for seduction' starring Kelly Brooke 'Out of season,' starring Dennis Hopper & Gina Gershon, 'Battle of the Brave,' starring Gerard Depardieu, 'The Fallout' starring Jenna Ortega, Maddie Ziegler, Shailene Woodley and Julie Bowen, 'The Last Son' starring Sam Worthington, Colson Baker, Thomas Jane and Heather Graham, 'The Price we Pay' starring Emile Hirsch and Stephen Dorff, and the recently wrapped 'Ravens Hollow' starring William Moseley, Melanie Zanetti, 'Operation Seawolf' starring Dolph Lundgren, Frank Grillo and 'Assassin Club' starring Noomi Rapace, Henry Golding.

Mark has also been instrumental in the development, writing or options of numerous projects such as Animated Horror 'Down Satan' with re-known Horror Author 'Clive Barker'; Supernatural Thriller 'Indelible' written by National Film Award Winner 'Howard J Ford' (The Dead 1&2, Never Let Go); 'Kill the Messenger' from (RoboCop) creator 'Michael Miner,' and Slamdance Grand Prize Winner 'The Girl With No Name'.

Mark is currently packaging a slate of film and television projects of varying budgets up to $30m, and in almost every genre's from Action and Comedy to Horror and Drama.

Mark Andrews began his film career in 1995 with an investment in his first feature, Mainline Run, and quickly transitioned to full-time producing with Distant Shadow, a low budget thriller that earned more than four times its production cost. He went on to serve as line producer and UPM for the UK's Spice Factory before consulting for various production companies in the UK and U.S., and using his finance background to structure multiple film funds while also helping shepherd a range of international co-productions.

He has produced, executive produced and acted as executive in charge of production on films such as Wake of Death (Jean-Claude Van Damme), Modigliani (Andy Garcia), School for Seduction (Kelly Brook), Out of Season (Dennis Hopper, Gina Gershon), and Battle of the Brave (Gérard Depardieu).

Since 2020, Mark has continued to build a diverse slate of producing credits including Dead Water (Casper Van Dien, Judd Nelson), The Fallout (Jenna Ortega, Maddie Ziegler, Shailene Woodley), The Last Son (Sam Worthington, Thomas Jane), The Price We Pay (Emile Hirsch, Stephen Dorff), Ravens Hollow (William Moseley), Operation Seawolf (Dolph Lundgren, Frank Grillo), and Assassin Club (Noomi Rapace, Henry Golding).

Mark has also played a key role in developing and optioning genre-forward projects such as Down Satan with legendary horror author Clive Barker; supernatural thriller Indelible by Howard J. Ford (The Dead), Kill the Messenger from RoboCop creator Michael Miner, and The Girl With No Name by Slamdance Grand Prize Winner Alex Ranarivelo.

Most recently, he wrote and co-produced Wind of Change, the official Scorpions biopic directed by Alex Ranarivelo and financed by Warner Bros and Fox.

He is the owner of Mugshot Films, a partner at Skinny Dipped Films, a UK-based production company focused on high-end television and social horror, and the founder of Genre International, a new label dedicated to developing and producing elevated, globally driven commercial genre films.
