Joy Andrews(1919-1992)

The daughter of an engineer, she was educated at Thornbank School, Bexhill, Sussex. She abandoned her acting career soon after the war started to become a nurse. After the war, she resumed her stage career in repertory theatre. Her first West End break came when she took over the lead from Moira Lister in Birthday Honours. She was married with a daughter and lived in Chelsea.
