- John Andreassen was born on August 26, 1943 in Oslo, Norway. He was a director and producer, known for Torsdagstoner (1967), Munnkurven (1983) and Fjærsynet (1982). He died on March 25, 2026 in Gjøvik Municipality, Norway.
- In 2008 he was awarded the Gullruten's Course Prize.
- Produced the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 1997 in Trondheim.
- Produced the opening of Gardermoen in 1998.
- Taught at Lillehammer University College.
