- Esther Anderson was born on August 4, 1943 in Kingston, Jamaica. She is an actress and producer, known for The Three Dumas (2007), A Warm December (1973) and Short Ends (1976).
- Listed as one of twelve "Promising New Actors of 1973" in John Willis' Screen World, Vol. 25.
- Studied drama at the Actor's Workshop in London, combining her studies with a modelling career, doing photo shoots and commercials for Africa and Asia.
- Began as a model in the 1960 Miss Jamaica beauty contest. Her first prize was downgraded to third since she was underage at the time.
- Studied at Highgate High School in Highgate, Jamaica, and at the Quaker Finishing School, where she joined the St. John Ambulance Brigade.
- In London from 1961, she modelled for the artist Aubrix Rix, an illustrator for Woman's Own magazine.
