- Andrey Anchugov is a Soviet and Russian director and screenwriter.
He was born in Sverdlovsk, Soviet Union. In 1985 Anchugov graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of the Ural State University. In 1993 he graduated from the directing department of VGIK with a degree in Directing Documentary Films. Worked as a script editor in the Sverdlovsk Regional Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting. Then he was a director and editor at the Creative Association of Documentary Films 'Nadezhda' of the Sverdlovsk Film Studio. In 2000-2002 Anchugov taught at the Faculty of Journalism of the Ural State University.
