  • The film song lyricist and screenwriter Charles Amberg became well-known in the 20s as a lyricist for the Haller-Revue in Berlin. There he also wrote numerous lyrics for popular songs, among others also for the Comedian Harmonists.

  • Besides his activity as a lyricist Charles Amberg also wrote several screenplays.
  • Because they assumed that Charles Amberg nee Karl Amberg had a Jewish background he was arrested in the KZ Neuengamme during World War II. He survived the KZ but died only one year later at the age of only 51.
