Biography

Julie Amato was born on January 29, 1944 in Lackawanna, New York, USA. She was an actress and producer, known for The Ghost Dance (1982), Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail! (1996) and Leisure Suit Larry 6: Shape Up or Slip Out! (1993). She was married to Dominic Amato. She died on April 4, 2022 in Stanford, California, USA.

Works as a voiceover artist, doing many national and regional ad campaigns for both radio and television. Julie is the voice of the National Geographic channel, and has done several "Celebrity Profiles" for the "E!" channel, including Hunter Tylo and Katey Segal.

Was Miss New York State (1964). At the subsequent Miss America Pageant she won the talent competition for popular vocals singing "Any Place I Hang My Hat Is Home".

Was an announcer for the launch of the National Geographic Channel - "Always Wonder".
