Biography

Alexander Allerson was born on May 19, 1930 in Osterode, East Prussia, Germany [now Ostróda, Warminsko-Mazurskie, Poland]. He is an actor, known for Battle of Britain (1969), The Bridges of Madison County (1995) and Cinema Paradiso (1988).

Deep, smoky voice

Provided the German synchronising voice for Bill Daily in TV's Alf.

Often cast as German officers in international productions.

Stage and screen character actor. First appeared on stage from 1954 to 1962 in Wuppertal and at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus. Noted for playing Mephisto in Goethe's 'Faust' at Cologne's Theater am Dom.
