Biography

Eddie Allen, originally from Baltimore and a graduate of Towson University, has always enjoyed performing. As he explained in a recent interview, "It's because of my mother, Arsineh. She fled Baghdad, Iraq to become an actress in the US. She instilled in me from an early age, 'Act, play, and enjoy life!'" After graduating college, Eddie toured the US doing Comedia Del'Arte and his one-man-mime-show "Eddie Doesn't Speak". At the urging of a friend, he moved to NYC where he had the good fortune to work in theatre, film, and television. He continued his acting career in LA, where he met his wife, Anamyn Turowski. They have two sons, Ian and Oliver. In 2007 they returned to NY where Eddie is thrilled to be back, enjoying the east coast seasons. He has co-written and performed several plays with his friend and writing partner Rob Leo Roy. Eddie's passion and lifeline to staying sane in this crazy world is doing improv with Improv Aquarium in Hudson NY and The Spolin Players in LA.
