Is the brother of Lucky Ali and son of Mehmood.

His film "Nargis" (1992) starring Naseeruddin Shah, Hema Malini, Zeba Bhaktiar and introducing Manzoor Ali, directed by Khalid Mohammed, Music by Basu Chakravorty. Zeba was to play a character who was deaf, blind, mute . Nasseruddin was cast as the villain. The film lays completed and unreleased due to financial problems.

Also uses the name Manzoor Mehmood for his singing career. He made his debut as a singer with the album "Hum Akele" in 2005.
