Biography

Rod Alexander was born on January 23, 1920 in Colorado, USA. He was an actor, known for Asphalt Girl (1964), Carousel (1956) and The Best Things in Life Are Free (1956). He was married to Bambi Linn. He died on July 7, 1992 in Palm Desert, California, USA.

He was the dancing partner of Bambi Linn, who acted and danced the role of Louise in the original 1945 Broadway stage production of "Carousel". Mr. Alexander would later choreograph the film version of the show, but Agnes de Mille, who choreographed the stage version, would receive credit in the film for "Louise's Ballet".

Coincidentally, he choreographed three musical films which starred Gordon MacRae (who was not a dancer).
