Barbara Niven plays no part in the movie, Miss Christmas (2017), but whenever photos of the McNary family grandmother are shown in the movie, it is actress Barbara Niven (I) that is shown as the grandmother in those photos.

Speaks at seminars about her personal struggle to overcome an eating disorder.

Was an exceptional student. In the third grade, she did so much extra credit homework that she began suffering from migraines. After a meeting with her parents, teacher and principal, she was barred from doing any homework for the rest of the year.

Has dual USA and Canadian citizenship.
