Although Florida-born Aja had a short (five-year) career in adult films, it was a memorable one. She only made 80 movies in those four years, but she was a star almost from the beginning of her career. Generally regarded as one of the most naturally beautiful women to have entered the business, her beauty and her habit of plunging headlong into her work helped her become a major fan favorite and earned her awards from just about every industry magazine and trade organization there was. She used her fame as an adult-film performer to enhance her career as a stripper, and after she retired in 1992 she concentrated exclusively on her dancing, and says that she has no plans whatsoever to come back to the porn business.
