Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Tamilla Agamirova is a Soviet and Russian theater and film actress of Azerbaijani origin. People's Artist of the Russian SFSR. She graduated from the Baku Theatre Institute in 1951. Since 1952, Tamilla has performed at the Romen Theatre. Tamilla was exceptionally musical, flexible, and had excellent acting training. For her first role at the theatre, in the play 'Stubborn Hearts', she was nominated for the Stalin Prize. During her years at the Romen Theatre, she played over fifty roles in Russian and foreign classics.

In the 1950s and 1960s, she acted in films at the Azerbaijanfilm studio. In 1957, Grigoriy Kozintsev's film Don Kikhot (1957) was released. The film's breakthrough was the young actress from Baku, Tamilla Agamirova, who played the beautiful and seductress Countess Iltisidora. The film was a huge success, and the incomparable Tamilla immediately captivated audiences.
