Joerg Adae was a German actor, dubbing artist and radio play speaker.

In 1966, he moved to Canada, where he took acting lessons and made his first appearances at theaters in Montreal. In the early 1970s, he returned to Germany, where he worked at the Osnabrück Theater and the Ingolstadt City Theater. Afterward, he worked freelance and traveled extensively - from Hanover to the grand staircase in Schwäbisch Hall. His home, however, was in Stuttgart and, most recently, he was closely associated with the Theater der Altstadt.

Adae's signature comedic role was the grumpy character who also liked to rant in Swabian. This is why Adae was repeatedly hired by Südwestrundfunk since the mid-1980s, often for programs in the Swabian dialect.

For decades, Adae was one of Stuttgart's busiest actors thanks to his versatility. He appeared in Max Frisch's "Andorra" and as a cold-blooded henchman in Martin McDonagh's play "The Pillowman.".
