  • Louis G. Friedman, President of Production Logistics, is a San Francisco native and cum laude Dramatic Art graduate of the University of California. Mentored by Alfred Hitchcock's protégé, Louis was an Assistant Director and Production Supervisor for Lucasfilm Ltd. contributing to 'More American Graffiti', 'The Empire Strikes Back', 'Return of the Jedi', 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' and 'Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom'. As a Production Executive he worked with 'Dynasty' producers Richard and Esther Shapiro, Dutch Director Paul Verhoeven on cult classic 'Starship Troopers' and in Mexico with James Cameron on ground breaking 'Titanic', which grossed $2.2B worldwide.

    As Executive Producer, films include Vin Diesel's 'Bloodshot', Mark Wahlberg's true Boston bombing story 'Patriots Day' and 'Lone Survivor'. Additional credits include the original 'American Pie', which grossed $235M worldwide, its sequels 'American Wedding' & 'American Reunion', 'Piranha 3D', 'Into the Blue', 'Blue Crush', 'How High', 'Accepted', '2 Guns' and Hugh Jackman's 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine'.

    Friedman's extensive television background includes Apple+ 'The Morning Show', 'Blood & Oil', 'The Office', 'JAG', 'L.A. Law', 'Murder She Wrote', 'Paper Dolls', 'Hunter', 'Out of Time', 'Gun', various Movies of the Week, 'Sesame Street', live performances with John Williams' Boston Pops Orchestra and Eunice Kennedy-Shriver's Special Olympics at the Kennedy Center. With expertise in budgeting, scheduling, micro/macro logistics, crew hires, vendor negotiations and physical production oversight on bottom lines from $200K to $200M - Friedman is a seasoned Producer working with worldwide film commissions, selecting Domestic and International locations which maximize local infrastructure, investment tax credits, cash rebates, grants and foreign exchange.

    A member of the Directors Guild of America and Producers Guild of America, he served as a faculty member for the International Film and Television Workshop in Rockport, Maine teaching Budgeting and Scheduling for Motion Pictures. Additionally he contributed to the $1.5B planning of the Wuxi Chinawood Sound Stages in Jiangsu province.

    With a breadth of global physical production experience covering decades of trend setting animation, CGI, VFX and live-action projects spanning celluloid, digital, IMAX, 3D and virtual production, Louis has worked with many of the American Film Market's most accomplished studios, directors, producers, writers, actors and skilled technicians. Contributing to fifteen feature films that have each grossed over $100M at the box office and total $6B worldwide, he's worked on more than 70 film projects, earning 37 Oscar nominations and 21 Oscar wins while his television projects have received a total of 352 nominations from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, 12 Golden Globe awards and 25 Emmy awards.
