- Today, people are liking, say the film songs of the 50's, tomorrow they may like the film songs of the 70's. This kind of thing is always there
- Today 9 out of 10 songs are copied. I do not want to name the music directors who play cassettes to their musicians and say that so and so instrument should be exactly the same. But I have never done these things. Sometimes we are inspired by other music which we try to improvise and give them an indigenous outlook. Recently, in a film Beat Street, similar to Saturday Night Fever, the entire music is taken from Lienoi Richie's songs. Everyone does that.
- I performed in Las Vegas in 1979 and my friend Gavankar asked me to cut an original western album. I recorded Pantera album in San Francisco and critics praised it a lot in USA. A private TV channel invited me in San Francisco and some popular music critiques were also present. Based on records sales, on WBMX chart-buster list, my album Pantera was ranked #2 in New York, Chicago and Pennsylvania. In South America also, the sales were high. In Brazil alone, we have sold 50K records. I was in New York for dinner with a friend and the band at Hilton Hotel played one of my songs unaware that I was there!
