Biography

Frederick Elmes was born on November 4, 1946 in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, USA. He is a cinematographer, known for The Dead Don't Die (2019), The Night Of (2016) and Paterson (2016).

Member of the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) since 1993.

Was member of the dramatic jury at the Sundance Film Festival in 2004.

While shooting Bride Wars (2009), his son (an aspiring cinematographer) was invited onto the set and provided entertainment for the 50+ cast and crew by performing magic tricks.
