Biography

Robert Sidney Mellette has written, directed, designed and acted in theatre, film and television for over 30 years. His credits in various jobs include Xena: Warrior Princess, Nutty Professor II: The Klumps, Blue Crush, and his own Jacks Or Better, which won Dances With Films Best Screenplay award in 2000. He has been working with the festival ever since.

His novels (as R.S. Mellette) include: Billy Bobble Makes A Magic Wand and Billy Bobble And The Witch Hunt, and Kiya And The Morian Treasure, all from Elephant Bookshelf Press.

Has worked with Dances With Films ever since his film premiered there in 2000.

Wrote "The Xena Scrolls" for Universal New Media's website. When an episode based on his characters aired in 1995, it became the first intellectual property to go from the web to television.

Wrote ADR (dialogue recorded after the picture editing is locked) for Xena: Warrior Princess the year they won a Golden Reel for ADR.
