Scott Speedman

Scott Speedman was born in London, England, to Scottish parents, Mary (Campbell), a primary school teacher, and Roy Speedman, a department store buyer. He grew up in Toronto, Canada. An aspiring swimmer, he held a record among the best for distance freestyle; unfortunately, an accident put that career path on hold forever. He went to Earl Haig High School in Toronto, and went to the University of Toronto in 1994-1996. On a dare, he went on a show called "Speakers Corner" and later went to audition for the role of Robin in Batman Forever (1995). Even though the part went to Chris O'Donnell, he managed to land an agent. Other movies he has done include Kitchen Party (1997), as well as Duets (2000), starring Gwyneth Paltrow. The show Felicity (1998) introduced Scott to the world and has formed quite a standing among fans. When the show ended in 2002, Scott's movie career took off with his breakthrough role in Underworld (2003), starring Kate Beckinsale and Bill Nighy.

His mother, Mary Speedman (née Campbell), was an Olympic athlete (track and field).
Once aspired to be a swimmer for the Canadian team.
Often attended barbecues at the Los Angeles home of Kate Beckinsale and Len Wiseman. As Beckinsale stated during an interview on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien (2009), "After making Underworld (2003), we adopted him as a sort of pseudo family pet. We stroke him and feed him and it's good for him.".

Sexy is a girl who's comfortable with herself. Long legs are beautiful...and also a nice neck.
You've got to just go do what you do - you can't really worry about who was attached to the movie before.
There's nothing worse - I don't like listening to actors talk about the process, especially when - I mean, for me I've played a lot of guys, dudes, boys in a sense and this was a challenge for me just to play that official character.
I'd like to do the young cadet thing again for sure, but that's why I wanted to do this, to see if I could do it. I took the scenes out of the script and put them together and read them as one little arc, story and that seemed to work.
It's an interesting time that way. It's hard to meet good girls down here. It seems like they're all after something and interested in their own lives.
