Tone Loc was born on March 3, 1966 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He is an actor and composer, known for Heat (1995), Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994) and Titan A.E. (2000).

The video for the song that launched him into super-stardom in the late 80s, Wild Thang, reportedly only cost $340 to make.

The name "Tone Loc" originated when his peers once called him "Antonio Loco" (Spanish for "crazy Anthony").

Ex member of the Crip's gang.

His 1989 debut album "Loc-ed After Dark" was the second rap album to reach #1 on the Billboard 200 after the Beastie Boys' debut album "Licensed to Ill", which was released three years earlier.

Has not released an album since 1991's "Cool Hand Loc".
