- In October 2012, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She underwent a lumpectomy, radiotherapy and several surgeries, and soon afterwards went into remission. She admitted to the illness publicly only in October 2017, on the eve of the fifth anniversary of her remission, and said that her prognoses are favorable.
- Jill was one of the main models for Victoria's Secret during the late '80s and early '90s. She retired after she married Harry Connick Jr..
