(February 24, 2000 to April 9, 2000) Starred as "Black" in the Manhattan Theatre Club's off-Broadway production of Andrew Lippa's "The Wild Party." The production ran for 54 performances and co-starred Julia Murney (off-Broadway's "A Class Act"), Brian d'Arcy James ("Sweet Smell of Success"), and Taye's now ex-wife and former "Rent" co-star Idina Menzel.

(December 2003) Played Fiyero in Broadway's "Wicked," while Norbert Leo Butz was out on medical leave.

(October 2005) Plays "Capt. Richard Davenport" in "A Soldier's Play", a play by Charles Fuller (Second Stage Theatre, New York City, New York, USA).
