Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Joseph Maurer was born and raised in East Aurora, New York. He has written and/or produced almost twenty films for network television, cable, and/or public television. Among the honors his work has received are Emmys, the New York Film Festival Award, the San Francisco Film Festival Award, the National Education Association Award, and Chicago Film Festival honors. In addition, his writing work has received the Writers Guild of America Award and twice won the Humanitas Prize. In his spare time, Maurer serves on the Board of Directors of the Brain Injury Association of California, a non-profit organization working to improve the quality of life for brain-injured individuals
