Biography

Zrinko Ogresta was born on October 5, 1958 in Virovitica, Croatia, Yugoslavia [now Virovitica, Croatia]. He was a director and writer, known for Red Dust (1999), Here (2003) and On the Other Side (2016). He died on July 3, 2026 in Zagreb, Croatia.

President of the jury at the Pula Film Festival in 2009.

Previously taught at the film and theatre school of the University of Zagreb (Akademija dramske umjetnosti /Academy of dramatic arts).

Member of the jury at the Pula Film Festival in 2022.

His family were originally from the Dubrovnik coast (Dola).
