Biography

Tony Hudson is a visual effects and animation artist. He is known for his work on movies such as Tangled (2010), AI: Artificial Intelligence (2002), Men in Black (1997), Innerspace (1987), and Star Trek 4: The Voyage Home (1987). He has held Senior TD, CG Supervisor & Creative Lead positions most of his career, from A-list studios to small independent productions. He is passionate about the intersection of creativity and technology that defines animation and VFX.

Digital Model Supervisor - Industrial Light and Magic, Marin Co. CA Supervising a team of 7 digital modelers for Small Soldiers

Left ILM after 17 years and joined Walt Disney Feature Animation - first in Florida as CG Supervisor for an unproduced feature, now in Burbank in a new role "3D Story Visualization". Works in the story department creating 3D story boards to enhance the story reel and provide visual development.

Tony worked on Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home and was part of the team that created the free swimming, radio controlled miniature whales. The whales were so realistic they fooled the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and so were not considered for best visual effects Oscar.
