Biography

Nash Edgerton was born on January 19, 1973 in Blacktown, New South Wales, Australia. He is a director and actor, known for Mr Inbetween (2018), Gringo (2018) and The Square (2008). He has been married to Carla Ruffino since April 1, 2014. They have one child.

He is the older brother of Joel Edgerton.

Established as a director of shorts, he has become the go-to director for Bob Dylan's videos and has directed 4 of them to date since 2009.

During the writing of Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983), the filmmakers decided to make Luke's Uncle Owen into the brother of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Though this relationship was eventually abandoned in the prequels, Nash was Ewan McGregor's stunt double, while his brother Joel played Owen.

Founding member of 'Blue-Tongue Films'.

His mother is a Dutch immigrant, with her family being from Bodegraven-Reeuwijk and North Brabant.
