Biography

Writer/Director/Producer for single-camera comedies, animated series and feature films, Brown was Head Writer/Voice Director/Co-Producer for MTV's iconic series 'Beavis and Butt-Head.' His writing/producing credits include 'Beavis and Butt-Head Do America,' MTV's 'The Tom Green Show,' Judd Apatow's acclaimed series 'Undeclared,' Spike TV's 'Blue Mountain State,' Adult Swim's 'Metalocalypse' and Nickelodeon's 'Supah Ninjas,' as well as the Apatow-produced feature film, 'Drillbit Taylor.'

Brown was Showrunner/Executive Producer on Disney XD's 'Kirby Buckets,' a single-camera comedy series combining live-action with animation. In addition to showrunning all 59 episodes, Brown also wrote and directed for the series.

Born and raised in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, Brown graduated with a bachelor's degree in TV/Film from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh where he received the Distinguished Alumni Award.

Brown and show creator Mike Judge co-wrote 'The Great Cornholio' when they were short one script for Season 3. After discussing the idea for the episode, Brown wrote the beginning and final scenes of the script, then Brown and Judge wrote and improvised the middle (school section) of the episode while Judge was at the microphone doing the V.O. recording.

On 'VH1 Goes Inside Primetime Animation,' Brown is quoted as saying, "The most famous line I'll ever write in my life is, 'I need t.p. for my bunghole!'".

Judd Apatow, re: 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin,' from his MasterClass: "Kris Brown, a great writer I worked with on Undeclared and Drillbit Taylor, said, 'Maybe Steve Carell's character has all of these toys and he never takes them out of the box... and he is like the toy that has never gotten out of the box.' And he captured the metaphor of it.".
