- Fair-haired Bavarian leading lady of stage and screen. Discovered for films by the director Karl Ritter in 1935 and popular in commercial films for UFA. Adept at acting in folksy or rustic light comedy or in melodrama. Graduated to character roles in the 1960's, appearing on stage at the Kleine Komödie in Munich and at the Renaissance Theater in Berlin.
