Melissa Martin was born on July 7, 1955 in San Diego, California, USA. She was an actress and casting director, known for The Dead Pool (1988), Death Becomes Her (1992) and Da Vinci's War (1993). She was married to Erich Zander. She died on August 29, 2008 in Maui, Hawaii, USA.

Before starting her film and commercial career, she was a legitimate singer on stage in San Francisco, California and worked as a singing waitress at Max's Opera Cafe, in San Francisco, California.
