Ryan Koch is a writer, producer, and actor from Eugene, Oregon. His passion for filmmaking ignited when he was a teen when he first saw Scream - the craft, the characters, the edge-of-your-seat storytelling. That spark led him to do something most teenagers only dream about: create his own show.

Within months of that revelation, Ryan walked into his local public access station with an idea for a serialized drama. What began as Rough Crossing, a weekly half-hour series featuring friends, evolved over eight years into a one-hour daily drama with a professional cast selected through open auditions. By the time it wrapped, Ryan had produced nearly 1,000 episodes - all before his mid-twenties.

During that same era, Ryan appeared as a series regular on the topical talk variety show Tales from the Anti-Man and served as the main host for the weekly wrestling news program SLAM!. Both projects, along with Rough Crossing, were produced under his first company, Tri-Media Entertainment.

Ryan's storytelling is deeply personal. Born with hydrocephalus and a stroke survivor as of 2025, he draws from his own health journey to bring authenticity and dimension to his characters.

In 2025, Ryan founded SkyCity Films to produce character-driven features that invoke genuine emotion. The company's debut project, Fractured Justice, is a crime thriller he co-wrote with director Tom DeNucci, whose work Ryan had admired for years before reaching out to collaborate. The two connected through Ryan's persistent efforts to build relationships across the industry - proof that passion and persistence can turn a cold message into a creative partnership.

Ryan studied Acting and Improv in college and continues to find ways to step in front of the camera in his own projects.

He tells stories that make you feel something. That's the point.
