Henri Alekan was born on 10 February 1909 in Paris, France. He was a cinematographer and director, known for Wings of Desire (1987), Roman Holiday (1953) and Beauty and the Beast (1946). He was married to Nada Alekan and Beatrix Victoria Caldarella. He died on 15 June 2001 in Auxerre, Yonne, France.
