Biography

John Lynch was born on December 26, 1961 in Corrinshego, Newry, Northern Ireland, UK. He is an actor and writer, known for Black Death (2010), The Secret Garden (1993) and Best (2000). He was previously married to Mary McGuckian.

John is the eldest of 5 children, he was educated at St. Colman's College, Newry, and Central School of Speech and Drama, London.

John has a sister, Susan Lynch, who is an established actress in London. Along with appearing in The Secret of Roan Inish (1994) she was also in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994) and an episode of the British crime series Cracker (1993).

He used to be a member of the RSC playing roles such as Smike in Nicholas Nickelby and roles in films such as Cal, The Railway Station Man and Derek Jarman's Edward II.

He was originally listed for the film Robinson Crusoe which was due for filming in 1987.
